Marcie Madain

unnamedFresh Juice Bar opened its flagship location in spring of 2013 on El Paseo in Palm Desert. Less than a year later a second location was opened in Palm Springs. And just a few short months after that a new store was opened in La Quinta and another in Palm Springs, giving owner Marcie Madain three stores in less than two years. Fresh was invited to the newly renovated Indian Wells Tennis Gardens in the exclusive Players/Media dining area which serves the top ATP players while competing in the BNP Paribas.

To say that business skyrocketed is an understatement. The first day Fresh Juice Bar opened up to customers on El Paseo, they made over $1,000. Word of mouth was the greatest tool, and soon this 830 square foot store was bursting at the seams with loyal clientele.

Owner, Marcie Madain: “Everyday I would hear from our customers that they wish they had a Fresh Juice Bar near them. So after seeing the success of our El Paseo location, I felt it was my responsibility to open more stores to make it convenient to everyone in the desert to get these healthy smoothies and juices.”

So just what is Fresh Juice Bar? They offer handcrafted fresh raw organic juice, green smoothies, bowls and an incredible selection of innovative creations made with all natural ingredients. Marcie has partnered with fitness studios like Next Level Fitness to develop specialty drinks that are protein rich and full of veggies, perfect for a post workout drink or meal replacement.

Inside each location the concept is the same – welcoming décor, hip, vibrant music and upbeat staff. Marcie’s passion is to provide something good for people to eat and drink for those busy folks who are on the go.

Today Fresh Juice Bar employees over 30 people in the three desert locations, and has an estimated gross revenue of $1.7 million. In June 2014, Fresh Juice Bar was voted #6 Best Juice Bars in the nation by USA Today 10best. Trip Advisor recognized Fresh Juice Bar as a top Healthy Eating spot locally.

Professional Achievements

Marcie Madain started Fresh Juice Bar in April 2013 after a successful 18-year career working in advertising. She had one simple blender in her home that she used to make smoothies. Realizing how good they were for her and family, she wanted to share them. She started hand-delivering smoothies to friends, to other mom’s at school, and anyone who would try them!

The conclusion? Everyone loved them! So Marcie decided to take that passion and create Fresh Juice Bar. She took her hard earned money from her years in advertising and opened her flagship location on El Paseo in Palm Desert.

Marcie Madain is a 1-woman shop. She handles all aspects of the business including marketing, social media, advertising, hiring of employees as well as business development. She is always changing and expanding the menu to stay current with all the new health trends.

Success has always been in the cards for Marcie. Previously as an advertising sales representative she was a 5-year Presidents Club Achievement Winner for top sales. Her husband, Chris Madain, owns Desert Alarm and when Marcie started handling his marketing, she helped to quadruple his sales.

Marcie received the Palm Springs Life Women in Business award for the Entrepreneur category in 2015
